This year, “Prometey” is competing for entering the final against the oldest club of Riga. Last season, Ronen Ginzburg’s team played against VEF in the final of the Latvian-Estonian basketball league and won 77:62. Gian Clavell was the most productive player in that game - 21 points (4 of 8 three-pointers), Issuf Sanon brought the team 17 points (5 of 8 three-pointers), there are also 5 rebounds and 7 assists in his asset, Ondrej Balvin stood out with double-double - 14 points + 10 rebounds. Our center added to that 4 assists. Illia Sydorov also recorded to his asset 14 points (3 of 7 three-pointers). All of them will play against VEF.
In the 2023-2024 regular championship, “Prometey” occupied the second place, VEF - the third one. On the way to the semi-final, the “red-and-white” won the quarter final series against “Ogre” 2:0. VEF also won 2:0 against “Rigas Zelli”.
